Cindy M. Playford, 52, of Colonie, died peacefully at St. Peter's Hospice Inn on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, in the comfort of loved ones at her side.
Born and raised in Ellenville, NY on May 24, 1966, Cindy was the daughter of the late Richard and Margaret (Foster) Playford.
Cindy excelled in sports, and was quite competitive in basketball and softball. She graduated with an Associates Degree from Ulster County Community College. Cindy was employed by the USPS in Colonie as a mail handler since 1999. Cindy loved to go on cruises, play blackjack, visiting casinos, and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her fiancé Kaylyn Ann Halayko, and beloved dear friend Clay Sherlock, her canine companion T.J., as well as many half-siblings, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends may call 4-7 PM, Tuesday, August 14th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A time to share memories will conclude the calling hours at the funeral home.
