Claire Alice (Prisolo) Wilson, 62, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at the Community Hospice Inn at St. Peters with her loving husband by her side. She was born in Cohoes to the late John and Claire Prisolo.
Claire attended St. Bridgids Elementary School in Watervliet then went onto Keveny Memorial Academy in Cohoes and later graduated from Mildred Elley Secretarial School in Albany. She then worked for the New York State Department of Conservation from 1968 to 1986 and also served as a Secretary and bookkeeper for the Salem Hills Park Association from 1982 to 2003. She enjoyed Square Dancing, was a Round Dance Cuer for area clubs, bowling, needlework, reading, travelling and mostly spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her sister, Anne Prisolo.
Claire is survived by her beloved husband of 32 years, Harold Wilson; her cherished daughter, Sarah Wilson; her son-in-law Miguel Curet and her adored grandchildren Maliya and Elijah.
The family would like to thank the entire staff at the ICU and Hospice floor at St. Peters for all of the care and compassion given to Claire.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 am at St. Matthew's Church 25 Mountainview St., Voorheesville, NY 12186. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 6 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Interment will follow the Mass at St. Joseph's cemetery in Waterford. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthews Church 25 Mountainview St., Voorheesville, NY 12186 in Claire's memory.
