Claire E. Sanchez

Albany – Claire E. Sanchez, 81, of Albany, formerly of New York City, passed away peacefully on Monday February 27, 2012 at Our Lady of Mercy Life Center surrounded by those who love her.

Claire lived in New York City for most of her life before coming to Albany in 2009. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff of the Rosary Unit at Our Lady of Mercy for caring for Claire as if she were one of their own. Claire is survived by her devoted husband Elby Sanchez Sr. She is the stepmother of Elby (Joyce) Sanchez Jr. Claire is also survived by many dear family and friends in the New York City area.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A prayer service will be offered at 6 pm on Thursday evening at the funeral home. At the request of the family, memorial contributions are preferred to Our Lady of Mercy Life Center, 2 Mercycare Lane, Guilderland, NY 12084 in memory of Claire E. Sanchez.
