LATHAM- Claire Sciubba, 79, passed away on Monday, April 26, 2010 at Albany Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Claire was born on December 25, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA and was the daughter of the late Lou and Lillian Cohen. She enjoyed crocheting, crossword puzzles and making floral arrangements, but most especially spending time with her family.
Claire is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Stephen P. and Joanne Sciubba of Latham; her daughters, Deborah A. Gage of Florida and Denise L. Sciubba of Clifton Park; her grandchildren, Paul (Jennifer), Kristina and Michele Sciubba and Dana and Thomas Salazar; her great granddaughter, Keandra; her brother, Arthur Shore and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sylvia Meil and her brother, Sydney Shore.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.).
A graveside committal service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Memory's Garden in Colonie.
Memorial contributions may be made to The National Kidney Foundation of Northeastern New York, 99 Troy Road, Suite 200, East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Claire Sciubba.
