Clara Worden Mccann

Albany- Clara Worden McCann, 89, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 5, 2016. Born in Hammondsport, New York, she was the daughter of the late Newman and Bessie Worden.
Clara was a graduate of Alfred University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She then went on to graduate from Syracuse University with a Master's in Education. In 1948 her teaching career began in Bradford, NY and concluded with her retirement from Albany High in 1984.
Clara is survived by her daughter Mariann (McCann) Warner of Clifton Park and her son David James McCann (Karen) of Mt. Airy, Maryland. She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Jennifer (Warner) Oliver, Sean McCann and Brendan McCann as well as two great grandchildren, Matthew and Emily Oliver. She is predeceased by her grandson, Ryan McCann.
A private memorial service will be held by the family this summer at the shore in Cape May, NJ where Clara loved to vacation.
