Albany- On November 24, 2007 the Angel of the Lord visited Clarence E. Alexander, Sr. and took him to his final resting place. He was born November 10, 1932 to the late Willie Guy and Odessa Foster Alexander in Lancaster, SC.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 52 years Elsie, seven children Louis (Mary) Montgomery, Lancaster, SC, Betty (John) Bellamy, Bronx, NY, Clarence "Fuzzy" (Debbra), Lorraine, Valerie (Alfred) Roberts, Geraldine "Dina" (David), Douglas (Debbie) all of Albany, NY, one honorary son William Henry Wilkins, three brothers Willie Guy Alexander Jr., Aiken, SC, Robert Alexander, Albany, NY, Richard (Ruth) Alexander, Bowie, MD, one sister Emily (Charles) Phifer, Adelphi, MD, three sister in-laws Hattie Johnson, Bernett Cavanaugh, Baltimore, MD, Geraldine Kent, Albany, NY, 31 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services Friday, November 30th at Mt. Olive Southern Missionary Baptist Church, 236 N. Pearl St., Albany, NY, 12210 Viewing hours 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m., service immediately following. Interment at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY
