Colonie- Audrey C. "Maude" Clark, 69, died on Friday, January 20, 2006, at the Albany Memorial Hospital Hospice, after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
Born March 7, 1936, in Albany she was the daughter of the late Jesse (Hutson) and John Minkler. Audrey had worked as a waitress for 36 years, then went on to work for Williams Press, and eventually for Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield where she retired in 1995. Maude as she was known to her friends and family was a member of the Polish American Auxiliary, the Midway Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, and the St. Clare's Craft Group. She was an avid reader and loved working on her craft projects. Audrey is predeceased by her brother John Minkler and her sister Annetta McElroy.
Audrey is the beloved wife of 49 years of Richard W. Clark of Colonie. She is the mother of Robin Anderson and husband Walt of Monroe, NC, Dale O'Grady and husband Robert of Wells, VT, Sandra "Cha" Clark of Colonie, NY, Renee Zarriello of Poultney, VT, Sue Kusky and Husband Bill of Poestenkill, NY. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, Cheryl Preville, Deana Brooks, Richard Preville, Cherise Frasier, 1st LT. Craig Anderson, and SSG. Shawn O'Grady, Airman 1st Class Justin O'Grady, Desiree Dunbar, Christie Dunbar, Kyle Dunbar, Jr., Casey Zarriello, Marissa Zarriello and Ryan Kusky, 8 great-grandchildren, her brother William Minkler of Maui, HI, her sister Jesse Hayes of Plattsburgh, NY and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Audrey C. Clark.
