Claude A. Barber, 82, of Selkirk, passed away suddenly on December 1, 2021. He was born on January 12, 1939 to Everett and Josephine (Hartman) Barber in Coeymans, NY.
He served as a specialist in the US Army and went on to work in management for the US Postal Service until retirement. He was a life member of the Joseph E. Zaloga Post American Legion 1520. Claude enjoyed many hobbies, some of which included flying model airplanes, making stained glass, tooling leather and wood burning art. He loved spending time with his family and friends especially at the Great Sacandaga Lake.
Claude is survived by his brother Robert A. Barber and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, John Barber, Dorothy Lawson, Sarah VanAllen, Elizabeth Whitehouse and E. Douglas Barber.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 3pm-5pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Colonie, New York. Interment will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery at a later date.
