LOUDONVILLE – Clifford J. McCumber, 71, passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2008 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.
Clifford was born on March 11, 1937 in Gouverneur, NY and was the son of the late Clifford M. McCumber and Dorothy A. Raymo. He worked as operations manager for Sherwin Williams in Albany for 30 years. He enjoyed his family camp, riding his boat on Trout Lake, traveling and spending time with his family. He had a great sense of humor, was a Yankees fan and was a member and past master of the Masonic Lodge in Gouverneur.
Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen (Reed) McCumber; his children, Michael (Nancy) McCumber, Lora (Brent) Yanulavich, Mark (Jeanine) McCumber and Linda McCumber; his grandchildren, Rachel, Stefan, Eric, Scott, Shelly, Ashley, Christopher and Jennifer; his sisters, Beverly Osterhout, Nancy Burns and Kathy (Rich) Duemig; his brother-in-law, Eric (Patti) Reed; his sisters-in-law, Janet (Robert) Fields and Carol (James) Henderson; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the United Church of Richville.
