Gansevoort – Colleen (Ryan) Simmons, 49, passed away Saturday April 2, 2011 at Saratoga Hospital.
Colleen was born in Schenectady the daughter of Jack and the late Virginia Ryan and was a lifelong area resident. She worked as a Registered Nurse for Saratoga Hospital and loved the many years spent as a cheerleading coach with Mohonasen High School then Schuylerville High School.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her devoted husband Steven Simmons, their beloved children Gregory and Alyssa Simmons, brother Patrick and sister-in-law Rebecca Ryan and nephews Nathan, Jeremy, Matthew, Christopher and Sean.
The funeral service will be Tuesday 1:00 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
