LOUDONVILLE- Colonel David Arthur Arnold, 83, died on Monday, May 1, 2023.

David was born in Little Falls, NY to Arthur and Nellie Arnold. He was a native of Johnstown, having graduated from Johnstown High School. He graduated from Siena College and the US Army War College.

David retired as an Army Colonel with the Division of Military and Naval Affairs.

He was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church, where he sang in the choir for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman.

David is survived by his wife, Joan Lettus Arnold; his daughters: Kristin Arnold Ruyle (Dan Belcher) of Tampa, FL and Erin Arnold Welling (Scott) of Latham, NY; son, David (Sara) of Mahopac, NY; his beloved grandchildren: Morgan and Brenna Welling, Kendall Ruyle, Ryan, Christian, Aiden, and Nora Arnold; and brother, Alan (Donna) of Saratoga. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

David will always be remembered for his boisterous laugh. He was a treasured friend and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Road, Loudonville, NY.

Interment will take place Monday, May 8, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Gerald BH Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY.
