COLONIE – Connie H. Wood, 20, of Colonie, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Lewiston, NY.
She was born in Gainesville, FL and was the beloved daughter of Kathie Dolan Wood and the late Lou Wood. Connie is the niece of Joan Sherwood and Ida Schwarz. She is also survived by her Dad, Tom Campion, her brother Chris Wood, her sister, Maura Wood and her fire service family. She is the cousin of Kris Rogers, Michael, Thomas, Sandy Sherwood and the late Connie Sherwood. She is survived by many other relatives and special friends.
Connie attended Colonie High School and was an active member of Shaker Rd Fire Explorers Post 475. She was recognized in 2010 as the Fire Explorer of the Year. Connie loved animals, children and the camaraderie of the fire service.
Calling hours will be Tuesday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Shaker Rd-Loudonville Fire Dept., 550 Albany Shaker Rd.,Loudonville. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm at the Fire House. Burial will be at a later date in St. Agnes Cemetery.
