Conrad Wilson

September 10, 1941 — March 5, 2022

GUILDERLAND- Conrad Wilson, a great salesman and mentor, has departed this earthly realm on the morning of March 5th, 2022. His hand slipped from his loved ones directly into the hand of Jesus. The brush of angels wings and the hymn "I Surrender All" quietly serenaded him while he crossed the River Jordan.

Conrad graduated from Albany High school in 1960. He completed his degree at the School of Hard Knocks. Without formal training, he carved his own way through life. He started as a contractor as a young man, worked in trucking sales, spent some time training for Dale Carnegie, and was a salesman for a local environmental consulting firm. He concluded his career as a sales manager for the family run business, All Lifts Inc.

Conrad enjoyed good food, good wine, chicken wings and beer. He spent many hours on his detailed pencil drawings and his profound encrypted writings, yet to be deciphered by his family. He loved the outdoors and the simple life. He was easily the center of attention and enjoyed making people laugh, often only breaking a sly smile, so proud of his success at entertaining the crowd. Conrad was well loved by everyone and many relied on him for his wisdom, advice and calm confidence. He was a social butterfly and quickly won the hearts of everyone from the cashier to the waitress to the pizza delivery guy. His quick wit and sarcasm were captivating and adorably offensive all at the same time.

One thing is certain, he was right when he used to say, " you're gonna miss me when I'm gone"!

He is survived by the love of his life, Beth, (he loving referred to her as "Dear"). He was the proud father of 4 daughters, Jennifer (Chris Wright), Valerie (Marty Balga), Darcy (Dennis Cyr) and Brenda (Jason Yung); and Poppy to 8 Grandchildren, Morgan, Abby, Maddy, Wolfy, Emma, Matthew, Joshua and Jessica.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10am-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205
