Albany- Constance Mae Guettler, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with her loving family by her side. Constance was the daughter of the late William and Madeline Getgen.
Connie was a member of and a communicant of the West End Presbyterian Church in Albany. Her best friends were her "kitties" and family. Connie enjoyed traveling to many interesting places around the world, gardening and feeding the animals. Connie always had a radio playing upbeat tunes. She was an avid fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees and indoctrinated the entire family as fans. Connie also enjoyed spending time with the family and going out to dinner.
When she worked outside the home, Connie worked at various banks in downtown Albany, before working for over 20 years at Sears as a Supervisor in the Accounting Department.
Connie is survived by her children, Kim (Paul) Sigond, and Michael W. (Marcia) Guettler; her grandchildren, Laura (Mike) Sigond, Jason (Jess) Guettler, Craig (Amanda) Guettler; great grandchildren, Abigail LaPlante, and Arya Guettler; her sister-in-law, Jean Getgen and her five nieces.
Connie is predeceased by grandson, Christopher Guettler and her brothers, William and Jack Getgen.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 11:00 am to 12 noon. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12 noon. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Sand Creek Rd., Albany.
