RENSSELAER – Cornelius (Hank) Rivenburgh, Sr., 82, of Rensselaer, passed away on Sunday September 14, 2008 at the Inn of Community Hospice after a long illness.
He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Walter and Ruth Rivenburgh.
Hank had worked for the former Capital City Container Company in Albany for several years and more recently with the Albany Housing Authority from where he retired in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and woodworking. He was a former member of the Rensselaer Woodsmen's Club. Hank was predeceased by his wife Ann White Rivenburgh and his son Cornelius Rivenburgh Jr.
He is the beloved father of Ellen Snyder (Ron), Ann LaRose (Jack), Melody Weeks (Rick), Sherry Rose Snyder (Don) and Joseph Rivenburgh Sr.. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 11:00 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in New Rural Cemetery. Memorial contributions ma y be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd.
