Courtney Ann Furbeck, 43, passed away at Albany Medical Center on November 25th, 2022, after complications from cancer radiation. Throughout it all, she was a warrior. Court was born on August 6th, 1979, in Schenectady, NY to Terrie and William Furbeck. She was a spitfire right from the start.
She attended Mohonasen High School and later enrolled in SCCC. She had many jobs over the years, including Price Chopper, Davis Vision, and Amazing Grace. She was a thrifty lady, so we know she was working for that paycheck. She most loved being a social butterfly.
Courtney had a love for books, scary movies, sunflowers, and of course, her cats. Courtney was a ray of sunshine, with a smile that could brighten anyone's day. She will be remembered for that beautiful smile and mischievous laugh. She was her genuine self, always, spreading happiness wherever she went. Everyone knew she loved them, but not more than she loved her cats. Willow, her precious cat & "daughter", was her constant companion.
At a young age, Courtney enjoyed car rides with her parents, which carried over into adulthood. Her "girls" had a great time with Courtney behind the wheel.
She is flying high in the spirit world with all her angels that welcomed her to the other side. She's now watching over all those she loved here on earth.
She was predeceased by her big sister, Kristy; her recently deceased father, William Furbeck; her grandparents, Robert & Patricia Sullivan, and Don & Grace Furbeck; her uncle, David Sullivan; her cousin, Kathleen Sullivan; an aunt and uncles.
She is survived by her mother, Terrie Furbeck; boyfriend, James Raczkowski; Dennis Furbeck (Kris Zielaskowski); Carol Barron; Laura Knolle (Tom White); Deborah Sullivan (Bill Collins); Mark (Dana) Sullivan; Tim Sullivan; Scott (Rose) Sullivan; cousins & friends.
Many thanks for the compassion and care given by Albany Medical Center, and most importantly, the Vascular Team.
