Courtney Oliver

COLONIE – Courtney Sterling Oliver, 21, of Colonie, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. Born in Albany, she was educated in Cohoes Catholic Consolidated School and graduated from Catholic Central High School in 2003. She also attended Hudson Valley Community College and Bryant and Stratton School. Courtney loved poetry, writing, skiing, ice skating and swimming. She had a special love for all animals. Courtney is the beloved and cherished daughter of George T. and Marilyn (Canty) Oliver. She is the loving granddaughter of Joseph Canty of Albany, Norma Jean Canty of North Carolina and the late George A. and Mildred Oliver. Also surviving are two aunts, two uncles and three cousins.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. Interment will be in Memory's Garden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Regional Food Bank, 965 Albany Shaker Rd., Latham, NY 12110 or the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society, Oakland Ave., Menands, NY 12204 in memory of Courtney Sterling Oliver.
