Craig S. Wright, 75, passed away on Friday January 24, 2025.
Born in 1950 in Schenectady NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Betty Wright. Craig was the oldest of five siblings; DG, Chelle, Kevin, and Nan.
He is also survived by his children; Kris, Niki, Rachael, Caelen, and Erik. Craig was a proud grandfather to several grandchildren and great grandchildren; he is also survived by two cousins, Wayne and Marilyn. Craig will also be missed by many friends and anyone he greeted (“Hiya!”) throughout his life.
Craig graduated from Scotia-Glenville High School as part of the class of 1968. He briefly attended Paul Smith’s College for forestry before enlisting in the Air Force where he served from 1970-1974. He then spent 36 years as a wireman at General Electric before retiring early at age 55. He was able to spend the last 20 years of his life pursuing his passions including billiards, exploring Native American culture and rituals, and eating breakfast at J&T’s Diner. He spent nearly a decade exploring and researching natural features of the Sander’s Preserve. Craig had a passion for music and writing poetry which he did throughout his life. He loved the outdoors, and would spend his summers cruising on his motorcycle, camping, canoeing, hunting, and hiking.

At Craig’s request, there will be no services, but the family encourages anyone who knew him to honor him in the way they celebrated life with him.
