Brittell, Creighton W.
Peacefully entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2015. Mr. Brittell was predeceased by his wife Doris, his son, Robert and grandson, Josh. He is survived by his daughters, MaryJo Speranza (John) and Doreen Brittell, his son John Brittell, his granddaughters, Justine and Erin Brittell, grandsons, Jay Speranza (Lara), Todd Brittell (Janice), Adam Brittell (Deb) and eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and special niece Catilin Kisselback, also survived by loyal friends James Featherstonhaugh, Esq. and E. Guy Roemer, Esq.
Mr. Brittell was a member of the first graduating class of Siena College. He served in WWII as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. Following his distinguished career as Financial Vice President with the American Locomotive Company he became sole owner and President of Finserv Computer Services. He was a life time member of the Board of Directors of The United States Trotting Association. Upon his "retirement" Mr. Brittell becamse a Hearing Officer for the New York State Racing and Wagering Board. Creighton (Crafty to friends) was "smart as a whip", witty, generous, charming, loyal and as many could attest quite a crooner. He will be deeply missed by all who loved him. A private graveside service was held at Memory Gardens on May 15, 2015. Those wishing to honor his memory may do so by making a donation to a charity of their choice.
