Crystal L. Mendiola

Crystal Mendiola entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 18th in Mechanicville, NY. She was born on the tiny island of Guam on September 2,1985, to the late Facundo (Christopher) & Maria (Mary).

She was affectionately known as "Abu" by many. Crystal's education was inclusive of GWHS as well as Job Core. She was employed as a Leasing Agent for The Landings. In her spare time, Crystal enjoyed quality time with family.

Crystal was such a happy and bright person; always very welcoming and very thoughtful. She didn't have a lot but what she had she never was selfish with and while always thinking of others. If you knew Crystal, you knew she would always brag about you to people she met to help them see the best that she sees in others. Always a strong and independent woman, Crystal left her home on a small island in Guam to venture out and experience the bigger world. She strived to always do her best for her daughters. Being a parent can be challenging enough but being a single mom; she held everything on her shoulders and did this with love and grace.

She is predeceased by one daughter, Candice and her children's father, Josh Santos and left behind to cherish her memory are three daughters, Armani, Lexus and Cassie as well as siblings Christine (TIN), Christopher, Junior (Tammy), Fermin, Crissy (Terence) and Clarisa (John) and a host of nieces, nephews, other beloved family and friends.

Crystal will never be forgotten! We love you Abu!

A visitation will be held on Wednesday December 28th from 5pm-7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd, Colonie NY.
