Cuemi Gibson, 56, entered into eternal life on October 19, 2014. Born in Troy, New York, she graduated from Troy High School in 1979 where she was a top performer in four sports and was inducted into the Troy High School Edward C. Picken Athletic Hall of Fame in 1995. Cuemi joined the Army after graduating and played three years of All-Army Softball & Basketball. She moved to Georgia in 2011 where she worked for the VA and in the Food & Beverage Industry.
Cuemi was predeceased by her father Robert Benjamin Gibson, her mother Gladys Jones-Gibson, her brothers Bartholomew Gibson and Thomas Pruitt, her sister Sadie Thomas; great niece Tatianna and great nephew Jashawn.
She is survived by her siblings James (Kathy) Gibson, Jeffery (Jeanne) Gibson, Robert Gibson, Ivy Fay Gibson, Martin Gibson, Geraldine Gibson, Stephone Gibson, Stephanie Mitchell, Tracy Morrison, Christopher Gibson, Cassandra Gibson, RC Pruitt and Marjorie Ann Felton. She is also survived by 35 nieces and nephews, 39 great nieces and nephews as well as a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 12:30 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will precede the service from 10:30am to 12:30pm at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at the privacy of the family.
