ALBANY – Curtis Wylie, 82, departed this life on September 10, 2011. He was born on April 27, 1929 in Halifax, County, VA and was the son of the late William Oliver and Nannie Lou (Brooks) Wylie.
Curtis is survived by a sister, Gladys Wylie; a brother, Roy Wylie; a sister-in-law, Amanda and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his companion, Sallie Minnie Carden; his sisters, Ida Mosley, Alice Carden, Josephine Hill, Sallie Smith, Dorothy Powell, Marie Mosley, and Coetta Wylie and his brothers, Henry, Charlie, Kent, Chesse and Jesse Wylie.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. A calling hour will precede the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment Graceland Cemetery in Albany.
