Dale L. Dennis

ALBANY, NY – Dale L. Dennis, 57, of Albany, passed away at home on Saturday, March 8, 2008, surrounded by her loving family, after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Albany, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Agnes Bishop. Mrs. Dennis was an Albany resident for all of her life. Dale was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dale is the beloved wife of 38 years to James J. Dennis, Jr. She is the devoted mother of Darlene Marie (William) Caufield, Joann Michele (Eric) Schoentube, James Joseph (Maggie) Dennis, III, Joseph Leonard (Kristy) Dennis and Paul Theodore (Kristina) Dennis. She is the loving sister of Barbara (Ronald) Buckley, Linda (William) Brown, David (Johanne) Bishop, Sr. and the late Leonard Bishop. Dale is the cherished grandmother of Billy, Timmy, Mandi, Eric Jr., Leah, Crystal, Justin, Jake, Kassidi, Madison and Pauly. She is the sister-in-law of Mary Bishop. Also surviving are her godchildren, Diane Moore and Nancy Harris as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 10:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Dale L. Dennis.
