Troy- Dana G. Rafferty, 63, of Troy, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Samaritan Hospital. She was born in Brockton, MA and was the daughter of the late Howard and Thelma Walker.
Dana was employed at Evergreen Commons in East Greenbush, where she looked forward to, and enjoyed their annual resident activities with her family. She also enjoyed playing pinochle, bingo and word games with her family.
She was the loving mother of Darlene Malik, Janet (Michael)Peters and Scott and Christopher Rafferty. Dana was the loving sister of Richard (Zoraida)Walker, Joyce Fitzgibbon and Debora(Al) Dundon. Dana was the loving grandmother to 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She also was loved by several nieces, and nephews. She was the longtime companion of Ray McCanney.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial services on Saturday July 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Clifton Park. Interment will be private at Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Pallative Care Fund, c/o Evergreen Commons, 1070 Luther Road, East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Dana G. Rafferty.
