SCOTIA – Daniel B. La Far, 65, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Ellis Hospital after a long illness. Born April 5, 1948, he was the son of the late Jennie (Saddlemire) Cramer.
Dan served his country in United States Army during the Vietnam War. He retired after 35 years from New York State Department of Taxation and Finance as a Principal Mail and Supply Clerk. Dan was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and a season ticket holder for 25 years. He participated in Big Brothers and Big Sisters Program, where he was a 21-year Big Brother to Charles Clothier.
Dan is survived by his daughters Christina (Michael) McGuire and Erin (Daniel) Taylor; brother Richard La Far; granddaughterrs Casey Rogers, Molly McGuire, Lorelai Taylor and grandson Jackson Taylor.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
