Daniel R. Blackman

TROY- Daniel R. Blackman, age 70, passed away suddenly on September 18, 2018. He was the son of the late Edward W. Blackman and Lillian Brown Blackman and husband of the late Donna Barber Blackman. He was a US Navy veteran, serving during the Vietnam Era.

Daniel retired from Albany Felt. He loved baseball and basketball. He enjoyed watching the NY Yankees and NY Giants.

He is survived by his siblings: Edward (Cathy), Dennis (Susan), Richard (Chris), Karen (Pat) Batchelder and Ronald (Nancy) Blackman. He was the beloved Poppy of Rebecca Zobre and Jayden Burnash. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, step children and step grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend his calling hours on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, NY. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Oakwood Cemetery, Troy, NY.
