Daniel D. Havens

ALBANY – Daniel D. Havens, 53, passed away on Sunday, July 19, 2009. He was born in Albany on March 4, 1956 and was the son of the late Donald and Lillian Dedrick Havens. Dan worked as an automobile technician at Orange Motors for over 20 years and then at N.Y.S. Dept. of Taxation and Finance as a laborer for 2 ½ years before retiring in May 2009. He enjoyed boating quading, snowmobiling and camping at Great Sacandaga Lake. He especially enjoyed spending time with his many friends and extended family. Dan is survived by his loving and devoted companion, wife and best friend of thirty years, Donna Murray and their canine kids, Bear, Belle and Bess. He is the brother of Larry (Robin) Havens of Mayfield, NY, Donna (Karen Smith) Hanley of Castleton, NY and Jacqueline Maldonado of Lakeland, FL. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the National Kidney Foundation, 99 Troy Rd., Suite 200, East Greenbush, NY 12061 in memory of Daniel D. Havens.
