Daniel F. Banasiewicz

ROTTERDAM, NY – Daniel F. Banasiewicz, 42, passed away tragically on Monday, May 18, 2009. He was born in Albany and raised in Toms River, NJ before relocating to the Albany area in 1990. Daniel is the beloved son of Patricia A. DeSantis and her husband, Alfred and the late Francis K. Banasiewicz. He is the husband of Linda J. Banasiewicz and stepfather of J. LaMountain, John LaMountain and Anthony LeFevre. Daniel is the cherished brother of Mary Lynn (Joseph) Sobol, Deborah Spina, Claire Banasiewicz and Nancy (Iggy Bakhtiyarov) Banasiewicz. He is the step-brother of Alfred (Kate) DeSantis, Jr. and Catherine and Kelli DeSantis. Daniel is the loving nephew of Kay Breen. He was predeceased by his nephew, John Greengrove and his niece, Kristina Greengrove. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, Loudonville. Calling hours will be Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
