Daniel F. Burgess

GUILDERLAND – Daniel F. Burgess, 66, passed away on Monday, May 20, 2013, with his loving family by his side, after a long illness. Born in Albany, he was the son of the late Paul and Jolan Burgess. Mr. Burgess had resided in Guilderland for over thirty years. He worked for the State of New York for over forty years before his retirement. Daniel enjoyed hunting, fishing and cooking. He was an avid reader and history buff and a fan of the Atlanta Braves.


Daniel is the beloved husband of forty-four years to Melinda J. Burgess. He is the devoted father of Brenda (Thomas) Pesano, Jennifer (Robert Washburn) Burgess and Daniel A. (Courtney Ingraham) Burgess.


Funeral services will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens, Colonie.
