Daniel W. Guyatte

Daniel Walter Guyatte, 54, of Colonie New York, passed away on September 15, 2023.

Dan was born on February 4, 1969, to James W. Guyatte and Caryle K. Herr in Albany New York. He graduated from Shenendehowa High School in 1977 and attended Hudson Valley Community College. He spent his career in several hands-on jobs, most notably working self-employed for over 20 years installing flooring across the region in his business North Country Floors.

In 1992, Dan met Kim. They married in 1995, raised two children, Matthew and Andrew, and were loving grandparents to Jazz and Willow.
Dan loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He often went up North to camp in the Adirondacks with family and friends. He taught his children and grandchildren how to fish, and will be remembered for successful hunts including a bear and several deer. He was an avid NASCAR fan, especially of Dale Earnhardt, and enjoyed watching The New York Yankees and Giants.

Dan was known and loved by many for his laid back manner and sense of humor. He touched many lives, and his early return to heaven leaves a space that can never be filled.

Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Kimberly Guyatte (Mackey); Sons, Dr. Matthew B. Mackwood and Andrew J. Guyatte; Grandchildren, Jazz Mackwood and Willow Mackwood; Parents, James P. Guyatte (Jeanne Herrington) and Caryle Herr (Ken); Siblings, James B. Guyatte (Shielene), David Guyatte (Joanne) and Michele Fairburn (David); and a host of nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, on Friday September 22, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a service to immediately follow at 6:00 pm.
