Daniel F. Hausler, 72 of Schodack NY, husband of 54 years to Patricia (Leary), died peacefully on Friday, January 19, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Born July 29, 1951 in Albany, NY, he was the son of the late William and Katherine Hausler.
Daniel worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic at R.B. Wing & Son, and Admar. In his spare time, he loved boating, fishing and vacationing at Lake George.
He is survived by his three children Daniel (Jessecia) of Averill Park, NY, Charles of Schodack, NY, and Kristen of Hudson, NY; his five grandchildren Ashley, Riley, Tyler, Paige and Chase. He is also survived by his sisters Lynn (Richard) Harris, Katherine (Robert) Jones, and sister in law, Patricia Smith Hausler, and his brothers William, Brian (Mary) and Stephen (Cheryl Lynch). He will be sorely missed by his cat Grumpy.
Daniel was predeceased by his siblings Kenneth Hausler and Maria Bongiorno. Also, his beloved dog, Tank.
Friends and Family are invited to attend calling hours on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. On Friday, January 26, 2024, we will celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am in St. Mary's Church, 163 Columbia Tpke, Rensselaer, NY 12144. Inurnment to follow at St. Agnes Cemetery, 48 Cemetery Ave., Menands NY, 12204.
