Daniel J. Pratt, Iii

LATHAM, NY – Daniel J. Pratt, III, age 31, of Latham, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 9, 2009. He was born in Symrna Beach, FL and lived in Colonie for most of his life. Dan was currently working for the International Association of Bridge Structural and Ornamental Ironworkers Union, Local #12. He was a sports enthusiast, and a fan of the San Francisco 49er's and the New York Yankees. Dan especially enjoyed fishing and riding his motorcycle. He is the beloved son of Daniel (Maureen) J. Pratt, Jr. of Colonie and Rebecca Smiley of Albany. He is the devoted father of Logan, and soon to be, Liam. Dan is the brother of Adrianne Smiley of Virginia and Jason Rudebush of Guilderland. Dan is the loving grandson of Daniel J. and Katherine Pratt, Sr. of Colonie , Jacqueline Smiley of Virginia and the late Maclyn Smiley. Dan is the cherished fiancé of Tiffany VanHouten of Latham. Also surviving are his aunt, Jeanne (Gordon) Cramer of Florida, his cousins; Bob Napierski and Dezarae and Danielle Karas and also aunts, uncles and cousins residing in Virginia. Dan was predeceased by his uncle, Stephen Pratt.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Center for Donation and Transplant, 218 Great Oakes Blvd., Albany, NY 12203 in memory of Daniel J. Pratt, III.
