Daniel F. Lamphere

Daniel F Lamphere, age 77, resident of Troy, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, following a lengthy illness.

Born in Albany NY, Daniel was the son of the late Dennis and Genevieve Lamphere. He was a devoted husband to Kim Lamphere sharing 36 years of love and adventure.

Daniel was a true fisherman and hunter at heart. He loved nothing more than spending time in the woods and on the water. He also enjoyed playing cards and bingo, and looked forward to his casino visits. Daniel was a loving husband, father, grandfather ,brother, uncle and friend to many. He will be remembered for his strength, resilience, sense of humor, work ethic, and his amazing will to provide for his family.

Daniel was born and raised in Albany NY. Daniel was a highly experienced entrepreneur with over 50 years experience, owning a used car dealership and a well respected roofing business.

Daniel is survived by his wife Kim Lamphere; his children, Daniel Lamphere Jr, Tammy Forster (James), Brandon Skinkle (Jessica), and April Duncan (Austin). His grandchildren, Greg Williams (Yoshi), Kiersten Carcia (James), Sierra Bove (Anthony), Aiden Forster, Jamison Skinkle, Scarlett Skinkle, Ryland Lamphere, Skyla Duncan, and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by two siblings, Stanley Lamphere (Denise) and Virgina Cellery, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents Dennis and Genevieve, Daniel was predeceased by 3 sisters, Blanche Lamphere, Marie Hankle and Denise Hart.

Relatives and friends may call on Monday, March 31st, 2025 from 4:00pm to 7:00 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. The funeral service and mass will be held Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Church at 9am, at 607 Central Ave, Albany, NY. Interment will follow the mass at Calvary Cemetery, 481 Route 9W Glenmont NY.
