Daniel R. Stanley

MIDDLE GROVE – Daniel R. Stanley, 54, a Middle Grove resident of 8 years, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at his home with his wife and children by his side, after a brief illness.

Dan was born on February 19, 1958 in Troy and was the son of the late William and Arlene (Gregory) Stanley. He was a foreman for School House Pools in Amsterdam. His hobbies included going to Hampton Beach, was an avid NASCAR collector, and was a big fan of the New England Patriots. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends as well as his beloved cats.

Dan is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Beth A. (Garceau) Stanley; his loving children, Amanda (Kyle) Clinton of Saratoga Springs, NY and Joseph (Beverly) Stanley of Lake Wales, FL; his brothers, William Stanley and Joseph Stanley; his cherished grandchildren, Kennedy Clinton, Mir'sadie Kennedy, Calvin Kennedy and Azalia Polley and his goddaughter, Gracie May Powers. He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Brida and Alexander Garceau.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment Memory Gardens in Colonie.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Saratoga, 179 Lawrence St., Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 in memory of Daniel R. Stanley.
