Daniel R. White Ii

NISKAYUNA – Daniel R. White II, 8 years old, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at the Albany Medical Center Hospital.
Danny was born on February 10, 2001 in Fairfax County, VA. He was a second grader at Craig Elementary School in Niskayuna.
Danny was everyone's "Little Buddy", he loved all things sports, but most especially, soccer. School was also a big deal – getting 100's on spelling tests and excelling at every endeavor he took on. He always wanted to play batman, hide and seek, the game Clue, video games, riding his bike, playing Nerf guns, being a friend, reading bedtime stories to his brother and sisters, last but not least – eating pancakes! Danny, we are all better people for having known you. The purest heart, so full of life, whether you knew him for a second or his lifetime, Danny would do anything for you. His last selfless act was donating his organs to others to live on. Our Hero. "We all love you and can't wait to see your sweet face again".
Danny is survived by his mother, Mary (Billington) Castilla; his father and stepmother, Daniel R. and Emily White; his brother and best friend, Dylan White; his sisters, Marjorie and Maria Castilla; his grandparents, Daphne Billington, and Richard and Cynthia White; his aunt and uncle and godparents, Scott and Sharon Anderson; his aunt, Stephanie Allen, several cousins, and endless family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday at Newcomer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave.). Calling hours will precede the service from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home on Monday.
Funeral services will also be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at LaRobardiere Funeral Home, 190 Main St., Camden, NY. Calling hours will precede the service from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday. Interment will be in Westdale Cemetery in Westdale, NY.
