Albany- Daniel D. Ramundo, Sr., 83, passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Daniel was the son of the late Vito Ramundo and Antoinette Patella Ramundo. He was married to Claudia Ciarfello Ramundo
After graduating from High School, Daniel enlisted in the United States Army where he served proudly until his honorable discharge. He went on to work as a supervisor at Big Doms until his retirement.
Daniel belonged to a dart league, bocci league, as well as IBS Hall in West Albany.
Daniel enjoyed spending time with his entire family and loved cooking for them. He was an avid football fan who enjoyed rooting for the Giants. Most of all, Daniel loved listing to Johnny Cash on his Alexa.
Daniel was the dear brother, of Lucy, Sandy, Dolores, Gerald and Anthony. He was the loving dad to Dan, Jr and Maria Ramundo. Caring father in law, to Marlette Ramundo. Beloved grandfather to Ryan and Randy Ramundo. Proud uncle to many nieces nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 181 Troy Schenectady Road, Watervliet, New York, 12189 on Thursday, December 28, 2023 from 10:00am to 11:00 am with a funeral service to begin at 11am. Burial will follow the service at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, New York 12871.
