TROY – Daniel W. Lubking, 63, passed away on Tuesday, June 29, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, after a brief illness. Born in Schenectady, he was the son of the late William and Jean Lubking. He lived in the Capital District for all of his life. Dan worked for O.D. Heck at a mental health facility on Delaware Avenue in Delmar until 2002. He was an accomplished sketch artist. Dan was the beloved husband of the late Susan J. Lubking. He is the devoted father of Darcy L. and Sarah M. Lubking and the stepfather of Kenneth M. Hammond. He is the loving brother of Michael R. Lubking. Dan is the cherished grandfather of Rosalyn J. Prosser and Brandon D. Moran. Also surviving is his father-in-law, William Hammond as well as his nephew, Casey M. Lubking and his niece, Erika L. (Lubking) Shepard.
Funeral services will be Friday at 6:00 p.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will precede the service from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144 in memory of Daniel W. Lubking.
