Danila A. Dorsett
February 12, 1928 — December 26, 2015
ALBANY – Danila A. Dorsett, 87, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at The Grand at Guilderland (formerly Guilderland Center Nursing Home). Born in Civadale, del Friuli, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Amedeo and Maria (Pelligrini) De Angeli.
She worked as a waitress for the Bela Napoli Restaurant in Albany for over 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed her children, granddaughter and great grandchildren, gardening and her Soave Bolla.
Danila is the loving mother of Alice M. Dorsett and the late Catherine D. Dorsett-Smith and Karl G. Dorsett, Jr. She is the loving grandmother of Alicia Amy and cherished great grandmother of Mariah Catherine and Alexander John. In addition to her parents, daughter and son, she is also predeceased by her sisters, Maria, Delores, and Yola.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. at The Parish of Mater Christi Church, 40 Hopewell Street, Albany, NY. There will be no calling hours.
At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of NENY, Pine West Plaza, Bldg. 4, Suite 405, Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12205 in memory of Danila A. Dorsett.
