Dante Mantova

ALBANY-Dante Mantova, 88 of Albany, NY passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at his residence. Dante was born in Siderno, Italy on July 24, 1925. He immigrated from Siderno, Italy to America in 1968. Dante was a laborer for Local Union 190. He also was the owner of Dante's Market in Albany and Monte Carlo's Restaurant in Ravena. Dante's passions included wine making, gardening and spending time with his family.
Dante is survived by his wife of 62 years Maria (Mazzone) Mantova; his sons Joseph (Alba) Mantova, Dominick (Giovanna) Mantova and the late Roberto Mantova. He is also survived by his grandchildren Joseph (Nicole) Mantova, Jr., Gabriella (Justin) Wallace, Sabrina (Miro Teodosievski) Mantova and Antony Mantova; great grandchildren Isabella Mantova, Justin Wallace, Jr., and Juliana Wallace; brother in law Giovanni (Adelina) Marando; nieces and nephews Patrizia Marando, Rocco (Stacy) Marando, Domenico (Kristen) Marando; great nieces and nephews Giovanni Marando, Luciano Marando, Antonella Marando and Alessandra Marando and several nieces, nephews and extended family in Italy.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at All Saints Catholic Church, 16 Homestead St. Albany, NY 12203.
Interment will be at Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
