COLONIE- Darlene V. (Sue) Smith, 47 of Colonie, passed at her home on Friday February 24, 2006 after a long illness.
She was born in Albany and is the daughter of Gertrude Connell and the late John J. White. She had worked with product development in Latham and more recently for Building Consulting Services in Deltona, Florida. Darlene enjoyed sewing, craft fairs, fishing and spending time at the beach.
She is the beloved mother of Nicolle Smith of Colonie; sister of John J White of Rotterdam, aunt of Christopher White and the former wife of Timothy Smith. She will be missed by her cherished family pets, Blizzard, Mr. Bonks, Serena, Shadow and Bella.
Special thanks to the wonderful and supportive nurses and caregivers from Community Hospice.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 pm at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Memorial services will be celebrated Wednesday at 7:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd. Albany NY 12205.
