Darren J. Travers

ALBANY - Darren J. Travers, 46, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Inn of Community Hospice at St. Peter's Hospital.
He was born in Albany, attended and graduated from the Sunshine School. Darren was a remarkably pure and kind soul that embraced everyone with his huge smile, a warm hug and his unconditional love. He had a joyful and happy personality that was enhanced by his innocence and his unique sense of humor. He treasured his collection of Hess trucks, matchbox cars and Lego building blocks. Darren enjoyed bowling and playing bingo.
Darren is the beloved son of Margaret Marsh Travers and the late Melvin Travers. He is the brother of David (Melissa), Brian and James Travers. Darren is the dear uncle of Jessica Verenini. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie. A prayer service will follow at 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
