David A. Bayer, 59, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 5, 2011 at his home. David was born in Philadelphia, PA to the late John and Ethel Bayer. David graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia and worked as a mechanical engineer. David attended St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Albany. David enjoyed music, boating and spending time with his grandchildren.
David is survived by, his beloved daughters, Emily (Daniel) Stranahan and Allison (Kevin) D'Cruz; he is the cherished grandfather of Riley, Caleb and Kayleigh; he is the brother of John Bayer; and the cousin of Helen (Bill) and Stephen Rapson.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 am at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 49 Killean Park, Albany. Burial will be at the privacy of the family.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Episcopal Church c/o Dollars for Scholars in David's memory.
