COLONIE- David B. Slingerland, 68 of Colonie passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at Ellis Hospital following a long illness. David was born in Little Falls, NY. He served in the US Army for 3 years. David retired from the Watervliet Arsenal after 29 years of service.
David is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years Barbara (Whitbeck) Slingerland. He is also survived by his brother Ronald Slingerland and by several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held from 12 to 2 PM on Friday, February 7, 2014 at New Comer Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM.
Interment will be at Memory Gardens, Colonie with military honors.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Colonie EMS in memory of David.
