David James Barker

David James Barker, 61, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022 at the Stratton VA Medical Center. David was the son of the late David Barker and Barbara (Murphy) Davis. David was the devoted husband to Kelly Barker.

David proudly served with the United States Navy.

David was an avid Giants and Mets fan and loved being at Saratoga watching and betting on the Ponies. He most enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

David is survived by his wife Kelly, his daughter Magaen (Joe Estvanik) Barker, his granddaughter Dannica and his sister Tracey (Tim) Burns. A special thank you to Wendy Decrescenzo for her love and support.

Calling hours will be held at New Comer Cremations & Funerals 181 Troy Schenectady Rd, Watervliet, NY 12189 on Friday February 11, 2022 from 11:00 am to 12:30 pm. A funeral service will follow the calling hours at 12:30 pm at the funeral home. Internment will follow the service at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville at 2:30 pm.

A celebration of David's life will follow the internment at Kelly's house, 209 23rd Street, Apt D., Watervliet, NY 12189. Park across the street.
