David A. Burnham, of Troy passed away un expectedly on Friday, May 17, 2019 at Ellis Hospital.
He was born in Townshend, VT a son of Harold and Ruth (Merrill) Burnham.
David lived with his daughter, Ida in Troy for five years. He owned and operated Burnham Construction Company.
He was an amazingly caring and loving father and grandfather who always put the needs of his loved ones and friends before everything. He was an avid hunter, mechanic, all around Mr. Fix-It.
David was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, William and John.
He is survived by a daughter, Ida Burnham of Troy a son, Harold Tomisman of FL and a daughter, Samantha Smith; 4 grandchildren, Shandell, Eddie, Leah and Wyatt; 2 great grandchildren, Gianna and Jaden; 3 brothers, Timothy Burnham of Colonie, Edward Burnham of Colonie, and Carl Burnham and many nieces and nephews, a host of friends, especially, Sharon, Tim and Bob, and his four-legged friend, Smokey.
Visiting hours will be from 10am to 12noon with a funeral service immediately following at 12Noon on Friday, May 24, 2019 at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society in David's memory.
