David G. Keough

David G. Keough, 93, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Our Lady of Mercy Nursing Home. David was born in New York City on February 16, 1923. He was the devoted husband of 68 years to the late Ann M. (Oswald) Keough.
Growing up, David's passion was being actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America. David proudly served with his country in the US Army during WWII. He worked for the Atomic Energy Commission in New Mexico on the Manhattan Project, to develop the Atomic Bomb. David then worked for the P.R. Mallory Company for 30 years which became the Duracell Battery Company. He was a pivotal member of the team that developed the "Copper Top" Battery.
David enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing, boating and gardening. He was an avid reader, particularly historic and political subjects. Together with his loving wife, David built and maintained their home where they raised their 4 children.
David is survived by his beloved children; Michael G. (Louise) Keough, James F. (the late Patricia) Keough, Patricia A. (Adam) Fox, Susan A. (Thomas) Rest. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
At David's request, all services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in David's name to the Boy Scouts of America, 253 Washington Ave Ext, Albany, NY 12205.
