David A. Greive

July 7, 1944 — November 15, 2018

Kinnelon-David A. Greive, 74 of Kinnelon, NJ passed away on November 15th, 2018. He was a graduate of Queensbury High School Class of 1962.

Dave lived without fear whether it be climbing the rafters as an electrician for the IBEW, racing Formula One in Europe at frightening speeds or standing up to cancer which took his life.

Ever the auto enthusiast he owned several motorcycles, muscle and luxury cars over the years and spent four years building a Cimbria kit car.

Later in life he crafted numerous lathe turned wooden bowls made of various exotic woods.

He is predeceased by his parents Rev. Joseph and Lorraine Greive, brothers Richard and Lewis Greive and his beloved dog Fiona.

He is survived by his children Lisa Bethel, Christopher Greive Sr., Todd Greive and his wife Sarah Angilletta-Greive, grandchildren Jordan, Jared and Jacob Bethel, Christopher Jr. and Nicholas Greive and great grand child Jaidyn Bethel, siblings Nita Burgazoli, Stephen Greive, Joseph Greive, Colleen Scott as well as Margaret "Cookie" Maly , Jeff and Kim Maly , Michele and Luis Diaz and step-grandchildren Brendan, Barrett and Jordan Maly, Delaney and Jayden Diaz as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for family and friends will be held Tuesday November 20th, 2018 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 343 New Karner Road, Colonie, NY 12205 from 2pm to 6pm.
