David Hartman Sr.

ROTTERDAM- David M. Hartman Sr., 60, of Rotterdam, died Saturday July 16, 2005 at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Albany and was the son of the late Frank and Lois Brown Hartman. Dave was a 1962 graduate of Colonie Central High School and served in the US Navy from 1963 to 1965. He was a driver/parcelman for UPS in Latham for thirty years, retiring in 1998. Dave was a member of Teamsters Local 294. He was an avid motor sport racing enthusiast.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Sandra Fronk Hartman. He is the devoted father of David Hartman Jr. (Eileen), Jeffrey Hartman (Jasmine) and Scott Hartman. He is the brother of Lois Nieckarz, Frank Hartman, Joel Hartman and Rachel Slocik. He is the cherished grandfather of Ashley, Kristin, Elizabeth and Samantha. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
David's family would like to thank Dr. Rene Jacob and her staff for all of their kindness and support. A special thank you to Community Hospice of Schenectady for all of their help and guidance.
Funeral services will be Wednesday morning at 9:00 at New Comer-Cannon Family Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd. Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave) then to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Albany-Shaker Rd.& Shaker El at 10:00. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice of Schenectady, 1411 Union Street, Schenectady, NY 12308 in memory of David M. Hartman Sr.
