David J. Clayton

David J. Clayton, 78, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Apr 03, 2013 at St. Peter's Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was born on Aug 02, 1934 in Albany, NY to the late Harold and Genevieve (McLean) Clayton. He was a Book Binder for many years with Williams Press and then with Hamilton Print until his retirement. He was an active member of the Polish American Citizens Club and with the Rensselaer Elks Lodge #2073 for many years. Dave enjoyed relaxing at camp in Ballston Lake, trips to the casinos and most of all watching all of his grandchildren's sporting activities.

Dave is survived by his loving wife of over 56 years, Bernice "Bunny" (Levanites) Clayton; his cherished children, Deborah (Ed) Trudeau and David (Colleen) Clayton and his adored grandchildren, Erica and Jared Trudeau and John and Jeremy Clayton. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, Harold (Brenda) Clayton, Trudy (Joe) Barey and Marva (Ronald) Nadeau and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank the entire staff at St. Peters Hospital, the W.F. Bruin EMS and the East Greenbush Police for all of the care given to Dave and his family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to your local animal shelter in Dave's memory.

Funeral service for David will be Monday at 10:00 am at the New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie. Calling hours will be Sunday from 3 to 6 at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service in Our Lady of Angels Cemetery, Colonie.
