David J. Vilchinsky

COLONIE, NY – David J. Vilchinsky, 57, passed away on Tuesday, November 4, 2008, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Julius and Marie Vilchinsky. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving his country during the Viet Nam War. Dave is the beloved husband of 37 years to Janet M. Vilchinsky. He is the devoted father of Christian Vilchinsky and Eva Vilchinsky, both of Colonie. He is the brother of Donald and Donna Vilchinsky, both of New Jersey. Dave is the cherished brother-in-law of James and Judith Armour of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at New Comer-Cannon Funeral Home, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie (Rt. 155-south of Central Ave). Calling hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, following services in Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Niskayuna. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions would be appreciated to Community Hospice of Albany, 445 New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205 or the American Cancer Society, 260 Osborne Rd., Loudonville, NY 12211 in memory of David J. Vilchinsky.
